Introduced at the Seattle Boat show in 1980, the 26’ Nordic Tug was an instant success. In a market of expensive vessels, the Nordic tug filled the niche for safe, reliable and economical boats for people who enjoy boating without the unreasonable price tag. Baloo is a 1985 single diesel engine with a low 1300 hours. Perfect for long range cruising and fishing in Alaskan waters, this is a lot of boat for the price.

In response to the need for economical cruising options, the Nordic Tug was equipped with a single diesel engine. In this case, a Yanmar 4JH-HTE 66 horse power engine with 1300 hours propels Baloo. Racor fuel filters and an exceptionally clean and well kept engine reflects the attention to maintenance of this vessel. The singe aluminum 75 gallon fuel tank provides a range of 900 miles. Two 30 gallon water tanks and a 10 gallon holding tank is perfect for long range exploring.Her semi displacement hull with a hard chine renders her robust and sturdy underway. A comfortable and stable ride is part of Baloo’s charm.
