General Description
Most boat buyers these days are looking for a boat that offers more than just one or two features. They are looking for versatility, contemporary design, and most importantly safety and durability. They want a boat that can do it all without breaking the bank. That’s where the 2006 Triumph 191 Fish & Ski comes into the picture.

All Triumph boats are made by a process that uses polyethylene (a form of plastic) pellets, foam, and high pressure molds to build boats in one piece. That includes the hull and topdeck. This process, which the company calls Roplene, forms a boat that is unsinkable, and is more lightweight and rugged than boats of the same size built from fiberglass.

The boats strength is augmented with a half-inch, non-skid deck, also made of polyethylene, which is screwed into specially re-enforced locations in the floor. Cleats are anchored with metal backing plates, and bolts screw into female appliances to keep them from being ripped out.

This also results in other differences; for example, the rub strip around the boat doesn’t conceal a seam as seen in other boats where their decks and hulls are mated. Another thing that makes Roplene boats look different, is that the surface finish is not shiny.

This semi-gloss finish is highly durable, and even after years of sun and weathering,it remains much like new. And, in bright sunlight, it is far easier on the eyes.

Roplene also makes for one of the toughest boats built. You may remember the viral videos of the Triumph used as a wrecking ball swinging into a trailer. Or how about the helicopter dropping one into the drink? Perhaps the one with Billy Bob towing the boat to the lake…with no trailer? They were all from Triumph, and the boats came through fine, except for some easy-to-repair scratches.

In our opinion the Triumph 191 Fish & Ski, is nicely styled with a conservative look that will age as well as its construction. The 191 is packed with plenty of the fishing-oriented features that an avid fisherman would want, along with the comfort and performance of a family pleasure boat.

Actual Condition
It is reported that a fire started in the bilge area of this boat near the battery box. The heat melted parts of the transom, battery compartment, and bilge area along with gas lines, electrical cables and various hoses.
