If your eye likes classic lines, you'll find the Bristol 40 very appealing. Like the popular Bermuda 40, the Bristol 40 is an exceptionally pretty boat.....with classic lines, full keel for easy handling and straight tracking, warm wood interiors, and much more. The boat has long overhangs, low freeboard, undistorted hull shape and the lovely sheerline associated with the beautiful yachts of the past. The Bristol 40 is a sleek, practical, comfortable racer-cruiser with the refinements of modern design that have made it a true classic. "Billy Celeste" is a clean and well equipped vessel.

Extensive use of wood throughout interior. The cabins are finished with varnished mahogany, the sole is hand-laid teak with holly inlay. Private cabin forward features comfortable V-berth with a hanging locker, drawer and locker storage and a private entrance to the head and a door to the main salon. Next aft to port is the large head area with a Mansfield marine toilet and telephone type shower, vanity, sink and ample storage. There is also a shower curtain to keep the area dry. Opposite to starboard is a second hanging locker. The main salon has settee berths to port and starboard with lockers and a bookshelf above and more lockers behind the backrest cushion. There is a center line table that folds up against the forward bulkhead when not in use. The galley with deep ice box and a force 10 3-burner stove with oven. Opposite to port is the navigation station with instruments and ships electric panel outboard and the navigator's quaterberth behind. The engine is on the center line under the companionway.
