This Folkboat is a very attractive vessel, with classic lines and renowned sailing qualities. All control lines led to cockpit for ease of handling. A good example of a Folkboat for those wishing to own a traditional sailing craft with heritage. She has been out of the water since October 2013 stored in a boat shed and has been antifouled ready for the new season.

Angilyn is a wooden Bermudan sloop Folkboat designed by Tord Sundon and built by Medina Yacht Company in 1962. The hull is constructed in mahogany planking over oak timbers. The decks are GRP sheathed plywood with timber deckhouses. She has a cast iron ballasted long keel with wooden rudder.

Mechanical:
She is powered by a BMW D7 6Hp diesel engine through a shaft drive to fixed 2 bladed propellor. The engine alternator charges the single 12V 75Ah battery(2012) with additional 1 amp hour from the solar panel.
The engine was last serviced March 2013.

Rigging and Sails:
She is franctionally rigged with stainless steel standing rigging, deck stepped silver anodised aluminium Proctor mast and wooden boom, slab reefed main with stackpack and roller furling headsail.
Chain plates renewed with stainless steel type in 2010.
The sail wardrobe contains, Saturn mainsail and genoa, Penrose mainsail(tan), Trident roller reefing genoa, Nicholson Hughs hank on genoa, No1 jib, and storm jib.
