‘Royal Blue’ is a once in a life time opportunity to own one of the finest examples of the Ollie Enderlein designed Hallberg Rassy 42e model. She was number 23 of only 255 vessels built from 1980 until 1991. The Hallberg Rassy’s are renowned for long distance cruising, detailed hand-made interiors and exterior features built to last the test of time. ‘Royal Blue’ has been lovingly looked after, and it shows, externally the teak decks are in supreme condition, and have been extremely well maintained. All halyards have been replaced along with many sheets, the cockpit teak work has been varnished and well covered. A Bow to stern boat cover has ensured the decks have remained the way they are, and even the smallest detail has been painstakingly looked after by her current owners. Internally ‘Royal Blue’s’ woodwork is finished in light mahogany matt silk. Flush mounted locker doors with solid wood frames and ventilation above. The floor is varnished teak with inlaid holly stripes. The saloon ceiling has ivory panelling with mahogany stripes and the ceilings in remainder of the boat have ivory headlining. The cushions on all berths rest on unvarnished, well ventilated boards to avoid condensation. Powered by a brand new 75hp Yanmar diesel, she is easy to handle and sails with perfect balance. Royal Blue is a must see vessel, given the rarity and the following of the Hallberg Rassy yachts, she won’t last long.
