Uniflite Valiant

Clair de Lune is a classic Bob Perry Valiant with lots of upgrades by her live aboard owners.  She has been set up for two 2 liveaboards and single handed sailing.  The current owners have lived aboard for almost 8 years. They have completed several extended passages with a trip from Kauai, Hi to Kodiak, AK as our longest at 26 days.  She has all the conveniences for her next owners.

Clair de Lune is a serious long range cruiser and live-aboard for two.  On deck she is set up for single handed sailing so that one person can rest while the other sails.  She is full of custom features and enhancements.  Twin recliners to starboard and a beautiful varnished main salon table and dinette style settees to port make for a functional and comfortable salon.  The galley is full of conveniences from the custom refrigerator and freezer to the custom cabinetry throughout that eliminate the “long pipe” feeling of typical Valiant interiors.  The galley and main salon have extensive storage.  Oversized stainless steel ports with tempered glass for increased brightness and an extended cabin roof into the forward cabin make Clair de Lune a special live aboard cruiser.  There is exceptional lighting throughout designed to provide reading level brightness where ever you need it, with LED or cold cathode fluorescent fixtures for all busy lighting areas to reduce battery drain.

The owners’ cabin is aft to port with a comfortable double berth, and large dual lockers to starboard.  Forward of the lockers to starboard is a custom freezer and further forward the comfortable well equipped nav station.  To port is the galley with custom cabinets and lots of storage.  Forward to port is a beautiful custom varnished table with seating for four. Opposite to starboard are twin recliners.  The extended cabin roof includes an opening port looking forward providing great air flow while on anchor.  The V-berth has been narrowed and extensive storage cabinets in the berth area added.  To port, a sit down shower area and additional storage in the head has been added. The cabin is heated with a thermostatically controlled heater.  AC is provided by a 6500 BTU air conditioning unit. Hella circulating fans are installed in the galley, head, aft stateroom, forward stateroom and salon (over Lazy Boy recliners).

The interior sole was done with urethane and all interior cabinets and wood work are rubbed with an oil based stain
