Stephens Tri Cabin Aft Cockpit - Priced for quick sale

Remarkable Classic Yacht!  She is a Raised Bridge Deck Tri-Cabin Cruiser of Mahogany & Teak.

ALLURE was purchased by her first owner while on exhibition at a boat show in 1931 for $12,567.00.  She was built by the prestigious Stephens Brothers in Stockton, CA.  The best information available would indicate that she spent most of her early life plying the waters of the Delta and the Bay and was not conscripted by the Navy during World War II as were many vessels of her type.

The boat is a raised-deck, bridge cabin molded cruiser with two separate sleeping compartments and two heads.  The original power plant was two F-6 Scripps engines.  She is currently powered by two Chrysler Marine 318's developing 225 HP at 4000 RPM.  The boat will go 17-18knots in flat water, which makes her one of the faster classics.  She cruises comfortably and economically at 10 knots +/-.  Her beam is 10'6" amd sje draws 3 feet.

She has had a number of owners over the years, including Sweeney, McCain, Niello (a car dealer who kept her detailed most of the time, and the Artigs (who were married on board.)  Martin and Janis McNair bought her in October of 1990.  Her hull and engines were sound, so they've spent their energy on remodeling, redecorating and cosmetics.  The port side aft bunks were replaced with a table, shelves and cabinets.  The bulkhead between the gallery and aft stateroom were removed to make one large parlor.  All of the fabrics, carpets, paint and varnish were redone.  Acoustical tiles were removed from the overhead on the forward stateroom, revealing fine wood which was stripped and varnished  All of the principal instruments were replaced with new modern equipment.

An award-winning vessel, ALLURE has been the platform for at least three weddings and countless hours of fun and enjoyment for her owners.
