Kuma is an Owner's Model Hardin 44. She was designed for more comfort accommodations for fewer people than other Hardins  Descending into the cabin from the center cockpit,  the large, fully equipped galley is to port. Directly across to starboard is a comfortable, upholstered dinette. This can be converted to a large double berth for guests.  There is a light and airy feel to this space due to the large pilothouse-style windows.

Down a few steps and forward, there are  settees to port and starboard, each with a pilot berth above and outboard. Forward is a large head with shower. In the forepeak is the chain locker and sail storage.

Access to the master stateroom is available to both port and starboard aft of the companionway. The starboard walkthrough can be either a work room or single state room. There is also excellent access to engine, Next is a walkthrough to the aft head and finally to the aft stateroom. Aft of the galley, the port walkthrough has in-counter refrigeration units outboard. Inboard is a navigation area with storage and additional access to the engine room.

Completely aft is the full-width master cabin. This features an athwartships queen berth and ample storage outboard to port and starboard and large hanging lockers. A major feature of this cabin is the large transom windows. There is also an ensuite head with marine toilet, vanity and shower.
