Invicta 26 - reduced!

1967, long keel, Van de Stadt design, very capable and ideal for single handed sailing, "Luci" is very well equipped including wind vane self steering equipment, electronic upgrades, deluxe cooker and upgraded winches.

CONSTRUCTION                            

Built in 1967.  GRP construction with white topsides and light grey superstructure, the hull was taken back to bare gel coat, 5 coats of epoxy were applied and anti-fouled in 2008 (she has not been afloat since).  Long keel with encapsulated lead ballast.  Self draining aft cockpit with tiller steering and transom hung rudder.

SAILS  & RIG:                          

Slab reefing mainsail with mainsail cover.  Furlex Genoa roller reefing system with furling Genoa by Dolphin Sails.  Spare Furling Genoa.  Masthead sloop rig with anodised aluminium mast, boom and spinnaker pole.  Stainless steel standing rigging and Terylene running rigging.  All lines led aft to cockpit. 

ENGINE:                                           

Yanmar 1GM approx 9HP raw water cooled inboard diesel engine with single lever Morse type control and electric start.  Shaft drive to 3 blade fixed propeller.  Alternator charging to 2 x 12 volt batteries (may need replacing).  Engine has been maintained by Burnham Yacht Harbour. 

DECK GEAR:                           

Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, sprayhood and spraydodgers, Narvik windvane self steering, Harken self tailing sheet winches, original bronze auxiliary winches, Lofrans anchor windlass, anchor with chain and warp, various mooring warps and fenders.

SAFETY GEAR:                          

2 horseshoe lifebuoys, floating light, jackstay lifelines on side decks, manual bilge pump, electric bilge pump.

NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT:       

Compass, VHF radio, NASA echo sounder and NASA log, NASA wind instruments (needs new masthead unit), Yeoman chart plotter, Garmin 148 GPS, autohelm 2000 tiller pilot with remote control, FM/AM radio, clock and barometer, navigation lights.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT:           

She has 240 volt shore power and full interior cabin lighting.  Wind generator trickle charging batteries (may need service).  Her galley has an Eno Gascoigne 2-burner gas cooker (new and unused) with oven, sink with manually pumped cold water supply, Baby Brydon marine toilet in forepeak.  Chart table, blue vinyl upholstery, carpet and curtains. 

ACCOMMODATION:                 

She has 4 berths in 2 cabins, possible 5^th hammock berth in forepeak.  Her saloon has 2 single settee berths with lee cloths and she has 2 quarter berths port and starboard.

REMARKS:                               

The owner of “Luci” tells us that she is set up for single handed off-shore sailing and has been proved to be a very reliable and sea going boat. Regretfully in recent years her owner has been unable to use her so she has been laid up ashore and is now for sale.  She has a very good array of equipment, her bottom has been epoxy coated and her engine has been professionally maintained. She currently lies ashore at Burnham Yacht Harbour.
