Pilot Boat Tug

James W Cook & Co Pilot Boat “X-Pilot” is a 72 ton ex pilot vessel. Built in 1967 she worked at Gravesend along with her sister ship the River Thames, and as a pilot vessel she was expected to endure the harshest of conditions. She differs from the standard pulling tugs, as she offers accommodation for her pilot crews. Presently licensed to carry 12 passengers and 2 crew (Cat C and D waters). It would be possible to certify her for up to 26 persons. She currently is a commercial charter vessel, with spacious upper and lower decks. She has been used in TV and film work for BBC history channel and others. Recent work for News South East and the RSPB. She offers the opportunity to own a vessel that can be lived on whilst earning her own keep. “X-Pilot” now works as a charter vessel and is fully licensed by both Medway Council and the Port of London Authority to carry twelve passengers.
