Irwin 28-4

Ted Irwin designed this sturdy coastal cruising masthead sloop and they were in production until 1981. The 2 cabin interior boasts sleeping for 5 in the double forepeak cabin, two port and starboard main salon settees and a port quarter berth.  The head is between the forward and main cabin and with the solid door, privacy is ensured from both cabins so as to not disturb anyone at night. There is a hanging locker across.  The galley is on the aft starboard side of the main salon – is L-Shaped and includes SS sink, top loading ice box and stove. A table folds down from the bulkhead and stows when not in use.  The underbody consists of an inboard spade rudder and a fin keel which is good for club racing (there also was a centerboard model offered). PHRF is 208. This boat has had two owners and the second owner has had her for 15 years. She has never seen salt water and was enjoyed right up to and through the 2014 season.
