It was 1936 German Regime wanted a state of the art sailing yacht to show thier superiority in design, technology, and  Navy's Sailing Ability, to The World,  They wanted to win and dominate sailing competitions around the world , From the Board of Henry Gruber Helgoland 1 was born, A State of the Art-  59' Monel framed ,wood and composit PilotHouse Yawl,  She won 1937 King of Spain Regatta right of of the box. with recorded speeds of 17nts She Dominated Regattas until WWII ," Follow Me From Her Dark German Roots, Canadian Spoils of War, To Her 1999 total rebuild/modifications and upgrades for Her current (exp, 2014) Canadian Charter Certification, She has been mothballed/stored out of water since reconstruction.
