Dickerson 35' Ketch

This is a full keeled , center cockpit ketch, designed and built by Dickerson Boat Builders, Inc. of Trappe, Md. in 1970. The hull is mahogany planked with oak framing with bronze fastenings. The exterior of the hull was completely stripped and a solid fiberglass laminate was installed with an awl-grip finish during the 1999-2000 winter storage season. The topsides are painted white with a gold cove stripe, and the bottom red antifouling paint. The Westerbeke diesel has been rebuilt--with 5 hrs. on it.   Decks, cabin top, and cockpit are plywood and mahogany construction that have been covered with fiberglass, with painted non-skid on all traffic areas. This is a beautiful classic vessel with a very good recent survey in 2009.
