Robertson & Caine Leopard 40

This Leopard is a truly exceptional example of how a well maintained and upgraded cat can be. Her numerous upgrades really are too many to begin to list here however some of the highlights include, new mast, standing rigging, furler, sails, custom stainless steel Targa arch/davits/solar and wind array, RIB dinghy, outboard engine and more, all new in 2009.

However this is only the beginning of her upgrades that these cruising owners have implemented, fridges and freezer have been significantly upgraded, as have the cockpit enclosure, the trampolines and batteries all replaced in recent times, even the all the faucet fixtures throughout replaced, not to mention all kinds of valuable electrical upgrades and additions.

It is very clear that these owners wanted their cruising boat to not only energy independent to allow for extended cruising away from marinas, but also to be in top shape all around, they have clearly achieved this objective and offer to her next owner a boat that really has virtually nothing to improve on, a boat that you really can simply add your groceries and go cruising again.

This fantastic design that is in many respects close to new condition awaits her next adventures with her new owners, a viewing of this great boat is highly recommended!

(4 Cabin / 2 Head)

Both hulls in the Leopard 40 are mirror images.  Therefore, starting forward, there are crew cabins in the pontoons which are ideal for children or storage.  Aft are the forward double cabins completed with hanging locker forward, outboard of the bed. The port forward cabin mattress has been removed and this cabin is now a dedicated tool area and storage space.  Aft of the forward cabin is the head amidships with aft facing toilet followed by the hand basin outboard and separate shower stall most aft.

The aft cabins consist of a hanging locker and cupboard most forward followed by the queen sized beds.  There is also storage below the beds. Note that all (3) mattresses in the cabins were replaced – new 2010.

Up in the main salon and galley that lead out to the cockpit, the L shaped settee is most forward surrounding the dining table.  The settee has new upholstery updated in Nov 2014.  There is a mahogany salon table that has been changed to have a swivel feature to allow easy access to storage under settee – the original table still on board. To port in the salon is the navigation station which has the breaker panels and instruments mounted above and the fridge/freezer unit below.  The fridge is forward and freezer aft.  The U shaped galley is situated starboard side of the salon.  There is an additional removable counter top that is located over the steps down to the starboard hull forward of the stove. The galley has the stove starboard outboard followed by the double sinks aft with breakfast bar inboard complete with folding Corian counter top.
