Gannon & Benjamin Marine Railway Sloop

CANVASBACK was built in 1984 by the masters of wooden boat construction, Gannon & Benjamin on Martha's Vineyard from a design by Nat Benjamin.  She is at once wholesome and elegant.  True to the definition, she is a day-sailer, with a wonderfully large and comfortable cockpit.  She is meant to leave her mooring, enjoy a brisk day on the water, with perhaps a packed lunch underway, anchor close enough to wade ashore to the beach.  Then enjoy an afternoon sail back and  be nicely put away on her mooring at day's end.  Does it get much better?
