Gustaf Estlander International 6Mr Yacht - New arrival

IAN is a classic International 6mR Racing Yacht, now offered in immaculate condition from a longterm ownership . Built as ZULEIKA in 1929 to the second mR class rule she is not only the last 6mR built by Estlander, but considered to be one of his absolute masterpieces. Estlander constructed this yacht for his own racing ambitions and raced her successfully during his very last sailing season. During the ongoing ownership IAN has been extensively restored from 2005 to 2007 at the Red Sky Yard in Finland to be as close to the original construction as possible. IAN received a new lead keel and bolts, a new mahogany keel plank, ribs in American Elm, new deck beams in Oregon Pine and a traditional deck made from Yellow Cedar. Since the 6mR Worlds 2011, held in Helsinki, IAN has not been raced actively and is now offered to the market. Due to her detailed restoration and racing pedigree, IAN is considered to be a vessel with a significant historical value by the Classic Yacht Association.
