The Parallax 11 Catamaran is a fast family cruiser designed for coastal and offshore sailing. She set new standards of quality workmanship, performance and comfort in a moderate-sized sailing vessel. The manufacturers and designers have logged thousands of miles of offshore and coastal racing and cruising and have had many years experience in the construction of GRP yachts. Ostac now owned by Corsair Yachts of the USA is still recognized as the foremost building of multi-hulls in Australia.

This is a high quality, well engineered, very comfortable vessel which previously had a fulltime skipper for five years to keep her in good condition.  Fully-equipped and with minimal restoration ready to sail.

Condition :       This is a high quality, well engineered, very comfortable vessel which has had a fulltime skipper for 5 years until mid 2014.  Fully-equipped and with minimal restoration ready to sail. Registered with American flag in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Owners have sailed on a reach up to 15 knots and beat over 10 knots. Its Two quiet engines make 7-8 knots at 2/3 power and it consumes approx 1 ltr Diesel/engine/hour.

Nav Equip:      Auto Helm GPS, Auto Helm log/boat speed, Auto Helm wind speed/direction, Auto-Helm depth sounder, Auto Helm auto-pilot, full charts: Phuket waters and Transit from Phuket through Singapore to Tioman, Dividers, parallels, etc.

Safety Equip:   14 life vests (including 2 children), 5 fire extinguishers, flares & gun, 2 life rings.

Deck equip:      1 x 35# CQR anchor, 1 x 70# Danforth. 1 grappling hook. 500 foot 5/16 inch anchor chain, 300 foot braided 1½ inch nylon anchor rode, shackles, lead chain and cleats. Main anchor chain on electric anchor windlass installed in chain locker, boat hook, fenders and mooring lines. Plus chain/rope cleat installed in forepeak.  Foredeck netting, hooks etc. lifelines & anti child-overboard netting three sides, foredeck settee, Two large foredeck pontoon holds (convertible to crews berthing)

Main Salon:      Large 6 person horseshoe settee with solid wood table adaptable to 2-man berth. Vast storage compartments under settee. Light and mosquito net curtain and sliding lockable metal shutter at companion way. Tape deck with surround sound. Large tinted plexi-glass windows & hatchways allowing plenty of light and air flow. Tool and life vest lockers. Igloo for cold beer etc. 

Galley:              200 ltr capacity, 220 v refrigerator, 4 burner LPG gas range, 220 v toaster, pots & pans, etc. Large counter space with storage underneath. Auxiliary fresh water foot pump.at sink in addition to hot & cold pressure system faucets. Full 8 place Mylar Tableware & 12 piece stainless utensils. Plastic glasses & cutting boards, etc.

Berths:              Three large double berths each with full linen spares, towels, pillows, blankets. Dual 12v reading lamps, overhead florescent lamps, cupboards & changing space. Overhead hatches and windows. Each equipped with oscillating fan.

Heads:              Mechanical head off main salon with sink, shower, hot& cold water. Electrical head off Port berth with sink, shower, hot & cold water. Overhead florescent lamps

Nav Station:     Table with cabinet, fan, overhead lamp, map lamp, full electrical switch panel. VHF radio, fuse system & first aid kit. 12v & 220 v terminals, battery charger.  Torch lights, etc. Deck flood, cockpit, steaming and navigation light controls.

Cockpit           Hydraulic helm & cushioned helmsman’s seat, all fully lighted navigational display units, Auto Helm control unit, anchor windlass control, full engine condition meters (heat, pressure, rpm, fuel level), starting switches & chokes. binoculars box, Pilot & full-length weather berths. Cockpit table, cushions and mechanical bilge pumps, water gear locker & smaller lockers for cleaning materials & throwing lines. Rigging:           Painted aluminum mast with single spreaders and groove car slide system. Barlow No 16 halyard winches (2), Barlow No 8 reefing winch (1), Barlow No 16 main sheeting winch (1), Barlow No 24 foresail winches (2), Barlow No 8 main traveler winch (1). Roller reefing foresail, stainless extra-strength wire cable fractional standing rigging. Lazy-jack main furling system. All running rigging is Japanese Tetron braided line in good condition.
