36' Grand Banks Fiberglass Classic

There are some boats that have been with us for so long and are so popular that they have attained classic status. The Grand Banks 36 is such a boat. She was the first model in the Grand Banks fleet and nearly 1200 have been built. The early ones were built of mahogany wood and starting in 1973 they were built of fiberglass. This model is an early fiberglass model. A semi-displacement hull with a long keel, hard chines and a deep forefoot provide the stability that has won the 36 a reputation for seaworthiness unmatched by boats in her class. All interiors are hand crafted teak woodwork and all incorporate the very best in workmanship, hardware and materials. Topside, raised bulwarks provide security to the walkaround decks, and there's room for a dingy on the aft deck cabin top. Notable features include teak decks, a functional mast and boom, direct cockpit access from the aft stateroom and spacious flybridge.

This is a special Grand Banks 36. The boat has been finished on the exterior with Linear Polyeurathane, new synthetic teak decks, all new varnish, and the interior was completely redone with new varnish and paint. Many other upgrades including new electronics and fuel tanks. She is a must seen to appreciate. Owner has had a change of plans and has to let her go.

The 36 Classic is laid out in the typical aft cabin fashion with a guest stateroom forward, owner's stateroom aft, and salon with lower helm and galley in between. The forward stateroom is set up with a "V" berth. The en-suite head with marine toilet and a vanity is to stbd and a large hanging locker is to port. The aft stateroom has a double berth to stbd and a large storage unit with shelves to port. A hanging locker is in the forward, port corner. In the fwd stdb corner, is the en-suite electric head, vanity and shower. Along the aft bulkhead a doorway leads to the aft deck. The salon features a lower helm to stbd and the galley is across from it. Aft is an "L" shaped dinette/settee to stbd and a fore-aft settee to port.

All new paint and varnish on the exterior!!!
