Bertram Convertible Mkii - Diesel and Clean

Far Niente is a very nice mid 80's Bertram 35 Convertible MKII.  This model has the revised and larger fly bridge seating as well as teak interior as opposed to the early model wood grain mica décor.  The cockpit sole is fiberglass as opposed to the early model plywood soles.  Highly sought after layout and an excellent rough weather design.  She has rugged 300HP 3208 Caterpillars for a nice 23 knot cruise.  The boat is very clean and shows well.

Large open cockpit with tackle center port side fwd. The aft deck hatch allows access to the Onan generator and to the Hynautic steering system reservoir, aft bilge pump and trim tab pump. The fwd deck hatch allows access to the fuel shut off valves on top of the fuel tank.  Fwd of the fuel tank are two Cruisair air conditioning compressors.  Under the compressors are the main 8D batteries.  Four Lee flush mounted rod holders, two Cannon swivel down rigger mounts. A large cooler with storage under is located fwd stbd side of the cockpit.  Located in the stbd fwd corner of the cockpit are two Marinco chromed brass 30 amp electrical inlets.  On the inboard side of the cockpit behind the power inlets are the main breakers for the AC supply.  The breakers are behind a sliding panel. Also, a toggle switch for the freshwater washdown which is just aft of the switch along with the saltwater washdown outlet.

On the port side of the salon access door is a tackle and bait prep station.  Under the gunwhale on the port and stbd sides are storage cabinets for rods or gaffs . There are two ten inch mooring cleats inside the cockpit one port and one stbd accessed by hawse pipes in each corner to prevent fishing lines catching on them. On the stbd fwd bulkhead of the cockpit is the mount for an EPIRB.  On the port side is the ships bell. A factory installed fighting chair mounting plate is laminated in the center of the cockpit. Entrance to the salon is a sliding door.
