Barefoot Center Cockpit Sloop

Significant price-drop, just in time for your SUMMER CRUISE!  down $10k... owner not anymore actively cruising, so realizes it should go NOW to next adventurer!  This boat has ALL the gear for long-distance proper voyaging... she's got a perfect "self-sufficient" set-up for Sea-of-Cortez overwintering (she's done it before!)   Built for the Caribbean charter trade to the specifications of Stephen Lang, this vessel is similar to  Irwin 37's  -- yes, this one was also built by Ted Irwin's crew, but to significantly stronger scantlings AND much better interior trim. Center-Cockpit design gives two separated staterooms, two heads... and salon with in-the-corner galley and large in-passageway navigation center.  This one has been seriously upgraded with LOTS of long-distance cruising gear!    Watermaker, newer yanmar diesel, TWO high-frequency radios ("ham" set, also marine SSB), radar and chartplotter, autopilot, very stout davits to store big inflatable dinghy, FIVE anchors (!), and a robust upgraded 12v and 110v electrical system... hidden genset, and huge inverter!  A substantial and comfortable home, where-ever she's anchored... Baja? Tahiti?  this one will get you there AND papmer you once you're settled in....

Step aboard through lifeline gates either side, across wide side decks leading forward to the anchor platform extending over aluminum framed  bowsprit, or leading aft to the substantial aft deck organized around stout davits supporting the Caribe rigid inflatable dinghy. Note the solid stainless steel railing aft from these gates all the way around the transom.  Using the custom teak steps attached outboard of the cockpit coaming, it's easy to step across into the cockpit area, with natural teak slatting on seats and teak grating on the cockpit sole.  More custom details from this owner: each cockpit seat has been widened for better at-sea bracing.  All sailing electronics (radar, chartplotter, autopilot, depth & speed) are mounted in the cockpit; only the radios are below decks at the nav center.

Down the companionway stairs (well protected by the dodger) into the central salon, which has a full-length Settee on one side and a shorter Settee on the other side, with the sea-safe tight galley around the corner from the stairs. Opposite the galley side is passageway to the aft private stateroom; a long counter in the passageway gives a standup chart table with large icebox beneath -- here's where all the radios are mounted.

Aft stateroom has an athwartship double berth, plenty of cabinets and lockers, a small settee,  a Phasor genset hidden beneath the settee; a huge hullside hanging locker, and an adjacent private head (direct-overboard discharge) with shower.

Forepeak stateroom is in the traditional V-berth arrangement, with yet another a huge hullside hanging locker; adjacent is a second private head (holding tank, needing repair/replacement) - with shower.

Engine room is directly under the cockpit, easily accessed from the passageway or the aft stateroom.
