The Carver 36 Aft Cabin was built on a "dual-mode" trawler-style hull, meaning that it can run efficiently at slow 7-8 knot displacement speeds and still plane out when the throttles are fully applied. Her interior accommodations are roomy and well-suited to the needs of family cruisers. The double-cabin floor plan features a large master stateroom aft with a tub/shower in the adjoining head compartment. The galley is amidships w/stove to starboard and refrigeration to port. The saloon (up a level) comprises a dinette to port with the inside helm position to port.  The lower helm and the galley and dinette are both down from the salon level. Outside, the raised aft deck platform is large enough for a few folding chairs, and the bridge is only three steps removed with additional guest seating. The command bridge is accessed via a companionway ladder from the aft deck.The standard 350 hp gas Crusaders will cruise around 16 knots and reach a top speed of 26 knots.
