CAPITAN LIPARI Named Donna Michela by her owner earl Giorgini ofFlorence ,this yacht was built in Recco by Cantieri di Recco in 1947 after designs of Bruno Veronese ,one of the lead post war Italian yacht designer . In the early ’60 ies the yacht belongs to the Nautical Institut of Carloforte, Sardinia to train the semen and officers and her actual name Capitan Lipari is the name of the founder of that technical school founded in 1906 . Since 1991 she belongs to the same owner . After a deep refit taken by Cantieri Francesco Del Carlo in Viareggio the yacht has always been kept very well.Few years later Cantiere Pezzini of Viareggio builds her two new masts in Oregon Pine .The owner is a really sea lover and use to spend several months at sea . now he feels to be aged and the yacht is becoming big for him.This is why he would like to sell Capitan Lipari and maybe find a smaller boat.
