Hatteras 53 Extended Deckhouse Motor Yacht - New arrival

Featuring a completely restyled superstructure from the Hatteras 53 MY (her sistership), the 53 Extended Deckhouse MY challenged the older model in buyer popularity soon after she was introduced in 1983. A sturdy and well-built yacht, the 53 ED’s floorplan features an extended full-width main salon with an inside bridge access ladder. A partition separates the wheelhouse from the salon for privacy. The expanded salon dimensions (174 square feet vs. the 53 MY’s 112) create a huge entertainment area for a boat of this size. The walkaround side decks and roomy aft deck of the 53 MY were eliminated in the ED, but a small open-air afterdeck is retained for line-handling duties. The lower-deck floorplan is the same as the 53 MY with three staterooms, three heads, and separate walk-in enginerooms. Topside, the flybridge is greatly enlarged from that of her predecessor and features an improved helm console. Additional features include a galley pass-through, bow pulpit, molded foredeck seating, wheelhouse deck doors, and a swim platform.
