"4500" Prout catamarans, sailing millions of ocean miles, have never recorded a hull failure. A remarkable testimony to Prout's designers and engineers and to the integrity of the structure, a structure that has earned Prout many awards over the years. The Prout 45 incorporates many unique features to further enhance her seakeeping qualities. Hydrodynamic "winglets" on the low aspect ration keels reduce pitching and improve windward performance. Newly designed skeg mounted rudders have been carefully balanced to lighten helm loads, increase responsiveness and enhance the speed through the tack. Diagonal torsion control bulkheads virtually eliminate twist between the hulls when plugging into short steep waves.

"Sun Chariot" is the Owners Version with 3 staterooms and 2 heads. The Main Saloon area is impressing with an abundance of exquisite hardwood trim.  Bulkheads and joinery are veneered in warm American Red Cherry.  Natural light floods all parts of the yacht from a wealth of overhead hatches, opening ports and windows.  Throughout, you will be impressed by the quality of the fittings and finishes. The salon has a large L-shaped dinette and a buffet with a built in entertainment center.

The master stateroom is aft with a large double berth and has a large head area including a separate stall shower and is accessed from the port hull. There is plenty of storage including hanging locker and drawers and cabinets.

There is a large galley in the central part of the starboard hull that will satisfy the most demanding cook. It comes fitted with cooktop/broiler, a full refrigerator/freezer and a large sink and plenty of counter space. The hull is wide enough to allow people to walk past those working in the galley. Cabinets facing each other extend the length of the galley, and clear sliding doors above the sink provide abundant storage.

Aft of galley is the Guest Stateroom  with a large double berth and a head with shower and plenty of storage.  Forward of the galley is another guest stateroom or storage area.
