Carver 42 Aft Cabin - New arrival

The Carver 42 Motor Yacht was one of the most popular motor yachts of the '80's and early
'90's. The exceptional comfort of two private staterooms, each with en-suite head, make the 42
perfect for extended cruising with family and friends.

This yacht features great storage areas throughout the entire boat. There is enough storage to easily live aboard or enjoy as a day boat. She features teak cabinetry in the staterooms, wood flooring in the heads and parquet wood floor in the galley area. All woodworks are in very nice condition! This particular 42 Aft Cabin is outfitted with black canvas, windshield cover, flybridge cover, aft deck enclosure with screens, bimini top with enclosure, wing doors, swim platform with stainless steel swim ladder and double bow sun pads with black cover.

Double Down has been a freshwater boat for almost all of her life. The owner upgrades include
the 36" Sony TV in the salon and the Stereo system adding more entertainment while on board.

From the dock, easily board Double Down from either port or STBD through Lexan wing doors. You can also board from the swim platform through the port side full aft ladder. The boat is outfitted with a large fiberglass swimplatform and retractable stainless steel swim ladder. Passed this is the enclosed aft deck complete with 2 large chairs and 1 loveseat. It has recessed lighting, isinglass with both zip out, smiley roll ups and side curtains with screens for an all-weather voyage.

Moving forward full port, 3 steps up is the bridge. To STBD, there is a large captain's chair along with a double seating area. The helm, electronics wise, is outfitted with a Ritchie compass, Carver installed port and STBD engine gauges, Lowrance LMS-522 GPS, Raymarine Ray48 VHF radio, Fireboy Xintex CO monitors and Pioneer Mixtrax  stereo CD Player. Forward of the helm is a bench seating area facing forward large enough to seat 4 adults. There are also recessed cup holders and Xtant surround speakers both above and below this area. Walking forward and onto the foredeck, to STBD are twin stainless trumpet horns. There is also a large double sunpad with black canvas cover. Full forward of the deck is the Seawolf windlass and a 45lb Danforth anchor.

Stepping back into the aft deck area, centerline, is the double entrance door into the salon. To STBD is a large 2-toned (pewter and white) leather L-shaped couch that converts to a double berth for additional sleeping arrangement. Adjacent to this is a solid wood table with retractable base. It is a centerfold out table to make it larger or smaller. Forward to this is a U-line ice maker, wet bar, and complete wraparound counter top at waist height. To port is a leather recliner along with 1 of 3 MarineAir reverse cycle air/heat units. You will also find along the port gunnel smoked Lexan cabinet doors making for a larg storage compartment along with the full monitor panel and the hour meter on the Kohler genset. 

Moving forward centerline, stepping down 3 more steps and onto a parquet wood floor, there is a midship STBD side galley. It is complete with large counter space, 3-burner Princess stove, Sharp Carousel convection Microwave, double round stainless steel sinks, full size over and under GE refrigerator-freezer combo and large overhead storage. To port is an access to the guest/day head.

Centerline, moving full forward leads you to the forward guest stateroom which has a queen island berth. The room has teak cabinetry composed of large closets and chest of drawers. To STBD is the 13" Panasonic TV. To Port is a single head compartment with separate walk-in stand up shower. The head is complete with sink with overhead mirror, storage and lighting. This head is also accessible with the privacy door closed from the galley.

Back in the salon, full port aft are 3 steps down leading to the master stateroom. There is a queen berth along with double hanging closets at the foot of the bed. The 1 of 3 MarineAir reverse cycle air/heat units is also installed in this area. To STBD is the head compartment also featuring a stand up/sit down shower that is separate from the head area. To port is the 26" Philips TV for entertainment in the master. This room is also outfitted with recessed lighting.

The salon area also features custom window treatments.
