Cabin Cruiser Flybridge

BOAT OWNER'S NOTES::
Looking at this 1964 Flybridge boat, you know it is meant to be on the water. The hull below the waterline has been fiberglassed as have the weather decks. The exterior of the boat was repainted in 2008 prior to the trip north. There is a swim platform on the stern.

LAYOUT & EQUIPMENT:
The enclosed flying bridge above the spacious cabin attracts your attention. Entry into the boat is on the either side of the rear deck and through the lockable twin sliding rear doors. This deck is open but has a canvas cover with clear plastic windows to enclose it from the weather if needed. You enter onto a small space above the engine compartment that houses the 440 cubic inch Dodge Hemi engine that powers the boat smoothly. The engine was overhauled and tuned prior to the trip up the Alaska Marine Highway from Bellingham, WA. to Homer, AK. in the summer of 2008. Also in the engine compartment is the sewage holding tank and two sets of batteries, one for starting the engine and the other bank for the boat when the engine is not in use. From your position you can look up and see the enclosed flying bridge with stairs on the left providing access or down the steps directly in front of you to the main cabin. On the right is storage area holding survival suits, life jackets and other gear. This rear compartment, both stairs, and enclosed flying bridge are carpeted.
Going up the stairs onto the flying bridge you see a futon on the right and a folding card table on the left. On the control console there is a large compass, a Raymarine C80 multifunction navigation display equipped with Navionics 13XG-C/F format and 12XG-C/F format, a depth finder, throttle and various engine and assorted gauges and controls. There is also a Garmin 440 GPSMAPS system for back-up to the Raymarine system. Above the windows on the overhead cabinets are two VHF radios.
Going  down into the main cabin, you enter the galley area with cabinets, a sink, gas stove, and refrigerator. A door on the left leads in to the bathroom with a sink, shower, and toilet as well as the electric control switch to control power from the boats batteries, outside power source, and battery charging system. Further into the cabin on the left side is a table with bench seats on both sides that can be converted into a double berth. Directly in front is the main bunk located under the forward deck and below the windows that stretch around three sides of the cabin. There is a hatch above the middle of the bunk that leads up onto the forward deck. Under the bunk is the fresh water tank and battery for the windless for the anchor on the foreword deck.
