Hunt 36 Hardtop Sedan Twinjet Express

A truly special offering. Semi-custom Hunt 36 Hardtop Sedan Express with twin Hamilton waterjets and Yanmar 440's complete with Rolls Royce joystick control tied into the throttles with bow thruster. One of, if not the, finest-running waterjet-powered boats this broker has ever seen. So much thought went into making LIBERTY the ultimate fast day boat while also properly equipping her to make the perfect couple's pocket cruiser. Custom mufflers from Soundown, along with insulation and teak decking on the bridgedeck sole, make for a super quiet boat, even when running easily at 30+ knots at only 2900 rpm's. A custom centerline transom door makes getting on and off the boat a cinch, while boarding from the side decks is accomplished by an unvarnished portion of the teak coaming boards and a teak step port and starboard.  A nice feature of the Hunt 36 is the wide side decks. LIBERTY has a proper stainless rail which comes back to the aft end of the bridgdeck, making for a safe approach to the foredeck. Another custom feature is the large teak bowsprit, varnished bright, with integral anchor roller so a plow-type anchor can live on the bow at all times. The chain and rope rode comes back to a low-profile electric anchor windlass.

The helm of this boat is low in profile. Sight lines are excellent, and with a fully-adjustable Stidd helm chair, LIBERTY is comfortable for any size person at the helm.  Across from the helm to port and in front of the generous L-settee is another pedestal chair; this one also adjusts fore and aft and has a teak ladderback to match the custom teak ladderback behind the L-settee which also fronts the cockpit. There are ample storage lockers and cupholders on the bridge deck, which is light and well-ventilated thanks to large, sliding-glass side windows. Electric front-opening window at the helm and manual front-opening window to port in the windshield itself; rear curtains and two overhead Lewmar hatches with screens add to the open feeling of the bridgedeck. Recessed lighting in the overhead on a dimmer switch at the helm.

The cockpit is finished in light gray-sprayed nonskid. The entire cockpit sole can be easily removed from the boat, and a large opening hatch provides ready access to the jets and drivetrain below. The cockpit has seating along the transom, with storage beneath and a hard-sided Evakool cooler that sits in a frame in the forward part just behind the L-settee. Access forward to the bridge deck is on the starboard side. The teak cockpit coamings, except for where one boards from the sides, is varnished bright and wraps all the way around the back of the cockpit.

The transom door on the centerline provides access to the teak swim platform, which has a retractable swim ladder and two pop-up stainless cleats. Stainless handles port and starboard on the transom help when exiting the water or working with the tender. Removable stainless davits can be mounted to the aft deck for carrying a tender. There is a recessed hot and cold shower in the cockpit, as well as two rod holders for trolling in the coaming.

Additional features on deck include:  Teak toe rail with inset stainless chocks; teak handrails on the hardtop and cabin trunk; teak eyebrow on coachroof sides; proper mast with spreaders for radar, steaming/anchor light, flag halyard, remote-controlled spotlight and hailer/fog horn. A SeaWatch antenna is also mounted on the hardtop. Two NicroFico stainless solar vents for additional ventilation when under way for head and in large foredeck hatch for cabin below.

As of October 30, LIBERTY is being stored indoors in a heated building, as she has been since new.

Interior layout features a dinette which converts to a full-length berth with seating for four. Large enclosed head with en suite shower. Galley forward with 2-burner Force-10 stove recessed into countertop with butcher block cover. Sharp microwave and convection oven built into cabinetry above. Stainless sink. Pull-out under-counter cutting board and 12/110v refrigerator. Hanging locker to port across from galley with cabinetry above for DVD player and flat screen TV on a nifty slide-out and pop-up arm which all stows neatly away when not in use. Shelf above. All the way forward is large V-berth with filler, with shelving outboard and above, with door on forward bulkhead providing access to anchor locker. Large opening hatch above, and opening ports with screen providing plenty of light and ventilation. Teak and holly sole.
