During her working life she was responsible for saving 160 lives and distinguished herself with "Thanks in Vellum" in 1955 for Coxswain Sidney Page and again in 1962, this time to the whole crew. In 1977 the then Coxswain David Gallichan received a Bronze Medal for outstanding service. We became proud owners of this wonderful boat in 1991. Our first job was to change her name to Gallichan after her last Coxswain. Since then many interior changes have taken place to make her into a comfortable long distance all weather cruising craft.
