Custom Commuter

Fantastic cruiser reminiscent of a bygone era..."Summertime" was lovingly built in 2003 and has enhanced the waterways from Maine to the Chesapeake ever since!  Charming as a picnic boat, practical as a cruiser and very unique.

This is a New Listing for Salt Yacht Brokerage please call for details...

Built in 2003 "Summertime" is Carvel planked white cedar on white oak frames bronze fastened.  Powered by a very low hour, slow turning Lehman diesel she cruises at 8.5 knots. This engine has 350 hours SMOH

Most brightwork has been painted out to ease the maintenance and in fact "Summertime" is rather easy to keep up...The owners seem to spend less time each spring then their boatyard neighbors who are waxing fiberglass and sanding brightwork on their "modern" boats!  You will not find a more delightful boat to spend time aboard, light,  airy and open.

The galley is on the strb side and features a 3 burner propane stove with oven, double SS sink with hot/cold running water and a Dometic propane refrigerator/freezer.  The dinette forward converts to a large berth.  Access to the head is gained through the covered section of the cockpit and is very private.

Two 8D batteries provide ample house power. VHF radio Raytheon radar, horizon depth sounder, Ritchie power compass along with a traditional compass, all needed coast guard and safety gear...

Everything you need, yet simplistic...take a step back to the way boating once was.
