A Brief History

She was only in the Moorings Crewed yacht program for a very brief six months after which her owners took her back as their personal live aboard home.

Ted and his wife chartered her occasionally for the next 8 years although nowhere near as much as the Moorings Crewed Yachts were chartered.She was only ever Owner Captained 
She has consequently had very little traffic through her and is still in pristine condition.

Ted and his wife put Cool Change on the hard when they moved onto a Megayacht as Captain and First Mate.

The next owners who bought her in October 2011 used her as the live-aboard home for themselves  in the Southern Grenadines when they came to visit their daughter who was  attending her final years of medical school in Grenada..

With her studies now finished and their cruising days over, COOL CHANGE was once again for sale.

She was the bought by Sven and his family. Sven has some years ago swallowed the anchor ( we sold his 60 ft Schooner for him) and moved to New Zealand where he set up business as an engineer.

After five years of this the sea called and they bought CC.

However, after sailing for half a year and having kids of 11 and 13 and aging parents back in Germany, the decision has been made to return to Europe to be with family and proper schooling  for the next five years. Clearly they cannot keep the boat so she must find new owners.

With all the systems for extended blue water cruising already fitted and the extra upgrades recently added whoever buys her now will be getting  the cleanest and best kept  example of these vessels available anywhere in the world.

Be aware of this: Lots of these are out there for sale.... and many have been properly refurbished after years of charter abuse. COOL CHANGE  has never been down that road. So she starts from a higher level and has been taken higher. She has a brand new mainsail that has only 400 miles on it.

The old port engine got water in it from a failed Vacuum breaker...so the engine was replaced with a brand new one.

Engine hours 1679 and 2300  genset 4200 hours

She is presently being cruised by the family up the island chain,fully recommissioned and upgraded. where she awaits your  viewing pleasure.
