Tomcat 9.7 - A RARE TOM CAT 9.7 AT A GREAT PRICE

YOUR  CHANCE TO OWN A VERY WELL MAINTANED EXCELENT CUSTOM TOMCAT 9.7

TomCat 9.7 is a performance oriented cruising catamaran. The large length/beam ratio of her hulls, combined with light weight, an efficient rig and a high aspect ratio foil centerboard give excellent performance in all winds and on all points of sail. Jib furling and main halyards are led to the cockpit for singlehand convenience. Twin outboards in wells provide quiet, comfortable motoring. Wheel steering and instrumentation is just a step away from the interior navigation station. This TomCat has had many custom features added. One of which is a totally redone teak interior, custom brass sink and brass splash boaed

Inside, the galley, head and dressing areas have 6 ft. 6 in. standing headroom, which is extended across the aft end of the salon by means of a sliding hatch, pop-top or hardtop option. Wrap around windows provide panoramic views from the salon seating or hull standing areas. Seating and berths can accommodate up to 6 in three separate cabins, with an extra salon berth available when required. The large galley has over 10 ft. of countertop space, with a 4 cu. ft. fridge, stove and oven, brass sink, and lots of storage space and cupboards.

TomCat 9.7 is molded using high quality ISO resins, vacuum bagged CoreCell™ foam, and biaxial glass fibre. Major interior elements are molded fibreglass, with accents of teak, ash or cherry woods. Six opening hatches provide ventilation.

Shallow Draft

The centerboard and rudders all rotate up above the depth of the hulls. More than that, they continue to provide a keel and steering while raised. This means the boat can be sailed in water less than two feet deep! Anchor off the beach for a swim or find room around the edges of a crowded anchorage where the keel boats cannot go.

Comfort

Catamaran sailing is flat, with heel angles of only a few degrees. The light weight and twin hulls mean easy motion in waves and full use of all of the facilities of the boat while under way. The arch seating and trampoline are wonderful places to relax and enjoy the sailing.

Performance

The underbody and foils are computer optimized for low drag in all speed ranges. The single centerboard keeps the helm balanced on all points of sail. The simple, efficient rig has the sail areas down low for stability. Aerodynamic hull and coachroof shapes minimize windage.

The large galley has over 10 ft. of countertop space, with a 4 cu. ft. fridge, stove and oven, SS sink, and lots of storage space and cupboards.

The salon will seat 6-8 people at the large table. Table leaves fold down for a more open space arrangement. The table drops down to seat level to form an extra double berth. Storage compartments are accessible under the seats.

The large galley will satisfy the needs of the chef along with the refrigerator at the forward end of the counter. The top of the cupboard on the left forms a pass-thru to the salon.

The starboard aft cabin is a double sized berth and one queen sized main berth forward. The port berth has been converted to storage. The main berth includes a vanity and dressing area. Main cabin windows are at eye level when standing in the hulls or sitting in the salon. They provide an open feel along with a panoramic view of the surroundings.

A central console houses the wheel instruments, engine controls and foil raise/ lower systems. Dual companionways provide an open space for traffic or communication between the helm, cockpit and salon. The main electrical panel is inside the starboard companionway.
