Beluga 46 One-Off

The Beluga 46 we offer is the prototype of a Kees van de Stadt design and it was built in 2005 by Bood shipyard in Nijkerk (NL). The design is characterized among others by the lifting keel with lead bulb ballast, two water ballast tanks and double rudders. The hull is built entirely composite and features a teak deck.

The rig consists of a fractional carbon mast with rod rigging and Holmatro hydraulic backstay tensioner. The sail wardrobe consists Quantum Dacron sails, including code zero and gennaker. The genoa furler is mounted below decks. Chosen is for a radar antenna on pole behind the yacht. In the anchor locker is a heavy duty windlass and the anchor attachment placed on the bow is removable. The mirror is foldable so a swim platform with ladder arises. For proper orientation in darkness there is floor lighting throughout the yacht, both inside and outside.

The interior is beautifully finished in cherry wood with rounded corners neatly finished. The cushions have blue Alcantara upholstery. All metals inside and out have the same satin finish what gives the yacht a luxurious look and tranquility in the design. The salon has left a semicircular sofa at a large table with two armchairs opposite. There are some notable extras like a water maker and even two Webasto heating units. Also, all rooms have a private radio / CD. The beds with good quality mattresses and slat bases are spacious enough for tall people. There is a lot of practical storage space in all cabins so much baggage and supplies they can be taken.

The Yanmar 50 hp diesel with folding propeller provides more than enough thrust. The technical installation is very durable so even under the toughest conditions the boat will continue to function.
