Hylas 44

The Hylas 44 is well known as a capable, well built ocean cruising boat. This two owner boat is being offered as a boat that needs some updating to have her ready to go anywhere. She needs new cockpit canvas, exterior teak refinished, refrigeration updated and the aft head and holding tank installed. She has Raymarine ST-70 cockpit instruments and an E80 chartplotter display and a new G3 Smart pilot with hydraulic linear drive. 2008 mainsail with Strong track and batten cars and a 2008 135% genoa. The aft cabin has a BIG Queen plus bunk and the galley is quite spacious.

Forward is a large guest cabin with the berth offset to port and a seat to starboard. There is storage outboard and above the berth and storage lockers. Next aft is the head to port.The forward cabin has private access to the head. It is equipped with a Sealand  Vacu Flush fresh water toilet (2009) There is a Sealand 4 holding tank level indicator (2009) and Electro-Scan waste treatment system 18 gallon holding tank and raritan Hold-n-treat automatic treatment controller. There is a shower in the forward head.

The salon has a pullout settee to starboard and a dinette with fixed table to port. Aft of the dinette is the Nav station. There are companionways to the aft cabin on port and starboard sides. Aft of the Nav station in the walk thru is the aft head. It is now configured with out the La-Vac head installed. It is available with the boat. This area makes the dedicated shower stall. Aft of the shower area is sink and vanity table.

In the starboard walk-thru is galley with opening ports at eye level and good working space. The sinks are on the centerline inboard under the main companionway. The Grunert refrigeration was set up as a 110 voly unit and is inoperative, however the holding plates and gauges are still usable for the refrigeration refit.

The aft cabin has good storage and a very large berth to starboard. there is a seat, hanging locker and cubby lockers and lockers for clothes storage.
