The Stellar 52 RS is distinguished naval architect Bob Perry’s update of a Sparkman & Stephens design, built to the highest international standard of custom yacht construction, and comparing favorably in design and execution to the world's finest raised salon sailing yachts. She boasts a conservative performance cruising sail area to displacement ratio of 16.5, and a displacement to length ratio of 286, with a solid hull and bullet-proof blue water scantlings.

Read from Bob Perry's designer's comments:

"While you can cruise offshore in any boat, experienced passagemakers gravitate towards boats in the middle to upper range of d/l's, i.e. 250 to 300 balance comfort and performance. Moderate displacement combined with moderate beam and moderate deadrise type midsection produces a boat with a soft motion and excellent ultimate stability while not sacrificing initial stability in the normal ambient heeling ranges. The deep midsection also provides volume below the sole for tankage and general storage, and, by virtue of its shape, contributes the structural panel stiffness of the bottom. "

"I re-worked the rig of the Stellar to bring it in line with current trends that optimize the use and options with furling jibs. A boat of this size works best with a standard sloop/cutter rig. This configuration allows the sailor to get the maximum versatility out of a small headsail inventory. "

Her lines are breathtaking, with a powerful, rakish stem, flush foredeck, racy shear, tastefully proportioned raised salon, and reverse transom with notched swim steps. Her deck is ideal for a relaxing couple, active family, or group entertaining, with a spacious aft cockpit, bridge deck (perfect for sunning) and generous flush foredeck.

Below decks, she's as warm and inviting as she is luxurious, with ample living and sleeping accommodations for 8 adults (or two who like to stretch out in comfort with all their toys!).

This particular Stellar 52 RS, Hull # 117, benefits from comprehensive outfitting--everything from reverse cycle heat & air to dinghy, outboard, life raft, spare parts inventory, etc. and a thorough de-bugging and optimization of all systems.
