RARE VOYAGE 440 OWNER'S VERSION MASTER AFT WITH FOOT ENTRY

Vessel history: The original and current owners who are knowledgable and experienced sailors, purchased this vessel new in 2005 and for the past 10 years they have cruised in the Bahamas and Caribbean for about 6 months each year. During the summer when they return home to Germany the vessel is hauled out for service work, fresh bottom paint, and sail cleaning. During hurricane season the vessel is safe on the hard with the mast and all rigging taken down and inspected, the sails are professionally cleaned by MACK Sails, folded and kept in an air conditioned space. The care this vessel has seen since new is a main factor in how well this boat shows. Any prospective buyer will not be disappointed in her condition which is excellent.

One might say the owners are sailing purists. Rarely at dock, they almost always anchor out enjoying the tropical breeze utilizing mosquito screens over hatches rather than air conditioning. Occasionally, if docked on a hot humid night they might run the air conditioning in the master stateroom from dock power. With ample water storage on board they have never used the water maker. The solar panels keep the refrigeration and small appliances powered up. The hard bottom dinghy is a custom build by a craftsman in the Rio Dolce especially designed with the motor mount forward to accommodate a larger outboard if ever needed. The dinghy planes nicely with two persons onboard but with a heavy load a bit larger motor might be in order. The owner has fallen in love with his primary anchor a 35 kg Cobra which he will take with him as they are no longer available for purchase

Safety has always been a priority with annual rig inspections, EPIRB on board, and life raft which has never been used but does now need to be updated. There is a passerella on board for use when European moored. The vessel is wired for a washing machine, generator, and microwave oven for easy installation by the next owner.
