Knysna Owners Version

Bullet proof blue water live aboard cat. Everything needed for long term cruising..

One owner since new.

Are you going to be the lucky one?

 From the owner.

If you don’t like clutter, kneeling on the floor to get into your freezer or fridge, having to store food and dishes all over the boat, appliances on separate floors, a lack of storage or lack of cupboards? Then this is the cat for you.

If you don’t like tightly enclosed spaces and sailing in 20 knot plus winds and feeling unsafe, then this is the cat for you.

If you like single or short handed sailing… then this is the cat for you!

Designed for extended voyages and self-sufficiency, Princess of Tides is a 24/7/365 live-aboard Knysna 44 catamaran.  All boats claim to have lots of storage but few are designed to make it a reality for liveaboards.  Not only is the storage space ample but it is strategically situated and built in relation to  ease of use  for extended cruising..   The galley storage area is for everything you need in a galley and has a much coveted pantry.  The linen closet can contain all your linen and more.  The large starboard storage area is fondly called the "Garage" and can contain all the extras you may need as well as sails that are not being used. The owner's side has 3 hanging lockers.

The galley is based on Martha Stewart's kitchen philosophy that everything one needs for preparing a meal should be close at hand and within two steps.  Beyond that, cooking in the galley is a huge bonus when underway because of the design.  Refrigerator, freezer, microwave, pantry, spice cupboard are all at eye level.  Cutlery, pots, pans etc. are all within arm’s reach. Two large counter tops provide a large working surface. A large pass through (upwards and downwards) doubles as a buffet table when entertaining.

Princess of Tides will sail 6 knots in 10 knots of wind and faster as the winds increase. Few sailors plan to sail in rough seas, but when it happens she is designed to handle conditions  that may exceed wind force 8 (Beaufort Force Scale).  Her sail plan and safety features are such that it can be sailed by one person.

On a live-aboard cat, one does not have to give up the amenities of home and one should not.  It's a matter of design. Have you ever wondered why there are so many solo male sailors?  What happened to their companions? Clearly they do not have Knysna 44’s.
