William Fife Design Gaff Rig

To see Bloodhound on the water is breathtaking, to sail on her is sublime.

Bloodhound is an exact re-creation of the racing cutter designed and built by William Fife in 1874 for the Marquis of Aisla as a victorian era racing cutter. The new Bloodhound was built in Ventura by Harvey Swindale and Robert Gilbert, she is one of the finest wooden boats ever built with faithful reproduction of how the Original Hound was rebuilt in 1908 sparing no expense.Bloodhound is truly a labor of love for her experienced owner.Blood hound has just left the Yard after an extensive refit , she surveyed to Bristol condition.

I have personally had the good fortune to sail her in some of the classic yacht races on the California Coast and can attest to her turn of speed and her exceptional balance. This is a once in a lifetime vessel, seriously offered for sale at this time.
