Alden Cutter - Zaida

1937 Alden Cutter in need of restoration.

This iconic design by John Alden (# 645)is a worthy candidate to bring back to her original luster.She is presently in the water and could sail to her new home along the east coast.

Built originally for George Ratsey by the Henry Nevin's yard in City Island.

Power is 1997 turbo 66 hps yanmar with a Borg Warner 1.5 / 1 v-drive . 2 blade prop . Burns 1.5 gal. Per hour at 7.5 kn. sails at 9 kn.

20 gal fuel tank

80 gal water tank.

Jabsco pressure water system with hot and cold to galley and head with shower.

11 gal hot water heater both 110 and engine activated.

No nav equipment , minimal electrical , except all nav lights on panel which can be seen in interior photos.

All original bronze sailing winches ( merriman ) and original custom 2 speed NEVINS built anchor windlass.

4 custom bronze winches on mast including wire winch for main sail.

60 lbs danforth anchor on deck , 40 lbs and 25 lbs danforth anchors in lazerrete.

All anchors 25 ft 1/2 in chain and 400 ft 1 in. Sampson yacht braid anchor rode.

Numerous fenders and dock lines for safe operation of vessel.

Propane 2 burner stove top , no oven.

3 top loading ice chests in galley.

110 fridge forward can be seen in interior photos.

3 standard 12 volt batteries.

2 for engine and 1 for coast guard type 1 sanitation device, ( purasan unit ).

1 Blake's lavac vacuum marine toilet. 2 rule 1200 gal. Per min. Bilge pumps with 1 on a water witch auto bilge switch. ( 12 volt ).

16 adult life jackets and 4 child. Harken roller furler for genoa.

All sheets Sampson yacht braid.

New main sail cover.

Custom hood main sail 20 years old and always covered except when in use.

Very good condition. Custom roller genoa also 20 years old and also in very good condition.

1 hood storm jib in serviceable condition. All sailing blocks in serviceable condition.
