Silver Brown Owl Classic Motor Yacht - Perfect Liveaboard!
If you're looking for a classy liveaboard and comfortable cruiser, Sea Lass is for you. Exquisite attention to detail is evident in the woodwork, inside and out. She has been lovingly maintained by the current owners. Designed by John Bain of James A. Silver, Ltd, the Silver Brown Owl 52 class motor yacht, Sea Lass, was built in Rosneath, Scotland. She was launched in the summer of 1930. Although her aft coach roof, raised foredeck, and canoe stern cause her to often be mistaken for smaller craft, when viewed from the bow, Sea Lass’s graceful fifty-two foot length makes her stand out in the waters of the Puget Sound. Her ketch rig (for steadying sails), and get-home capability, are rigged in tabernacles making her an ideal boat for cruising the rivers and canals of England and Holland, where she spent most of her life. Her interior is divided into six well laid out cabins and two heads, with plenty of storage lockers. Sea Lass is a comfortable little cruise ship for her current owners and their water-loving in-laws. The detail is simple but the best materials were used in her construction. Favorite features for the mechanic are the walk-in engine room aft of the pilot house and the fuel economy.
