She was outfitted with an optional shallow draft keel, made of lead. So, she is perfectly at home in the Chesapeake's coves and creeks, or just as comfortable in the cays of the Bahamas.

The Beneteau 54 offers spaciousness not found on most other yachts its size. Helena has a massive master stateroom forward with two aft cabins, port and starboard. She has crew quarters in a cabin forward of the master. No captain? No problem, because kids love to "stowaway" here!   The saloon is well ventilated, airy and bright. She has upgraded LED lighting, which is efficient and cool. Helena was smartly commissioned! If you didn't think you could cruise in comfort, you have to visit her! She has a bow thruster, Onan generato and reverse cycle air conditioning (even to the crew quarters). She has upgraded electronics with an E120 color display at the chart table and E80 color multifuction display, on a pivoting pod, in the cockpit. Her ST6002 autopilot has a wireless Seatalk remote control and PC interface. Helena has AIS receive, radar and VHF.  

Helena has a powerful Yanmar 110hp engine, with upgraded Balmar 100 amp Alternator, upgraded regulator and optional 3 pulley serpentine belt conversion. She has a 2000 watt invertor to run all your power needs quietly and efficiently. Under power at 2600 rpm's, she will make 8.1 knots. Her well insulated engine room keeps the decibels down to about 93 decibels, which is amongst the quietest around.

Helena is the three-cabin layout with an awesome owners cabin forward and twin after cabins with extremely high headroom. The crew's quarters are in a "stem" cabin forward with it's own head and air-conditioning. The crews' quarter, with it's own entry hatch would also serve as a great "teenager" cabin!

Helena was built to the highest available trim level offered by Beneteau, equipped with tasteful  Paradise Sand upholstry (linen in appearance), and then further upgraded by her experienced owners who had previously owned a Beneteau 50. They installed efficient LED interior lighting and furnished each cabin with upscale soft-goods to pamper the crew!
