Sunseeker 45 Apache

Sunseeker is a renowned global luxury and performance yacht brand. Designed as one of the most powerful Sunseeker offerings, this completely upgraded and renovated single stateroom high performance motor yacht turns heads. There isn’t another yacht that quite compares and may be the only Sunseeker Apache located on the US West Coast. This yacht has had extensive recent upgrades from top to bottom, both inside and out and was completed in April 2013. The main cockpit area makes great use of space and provides plenty of guest seating for day cruising, while the salon and cabin provides luxurious accommodations for two on a day trip, or for long weekend getaways. The yacht is available to US residents while in US waters.

Vessel Walkthrough

Entry to the yacht is from an integrated teak inlaid swim platform at the aft where you are welcomed by two large sun lounges. Snap-in marine carpets line the entire cockpit area. After passing through the sun lounge area (and under the arch) is a substantial outside seating and entertaining area followed by the prominent helm area with twin bolsters. A polished stainless framed sliding door provides access to the LED illuminated split level salon, dining lounges, forward sleeping cabin and enclosed full head.

Swim Platform

The solid teak inlaid aft has a transom shower with hot and cold fresh water, single 50A shore power connection, fresh water engine flush fitting, and built-in storable stainless swim ladder. The blue OceanLED 2010 underwater lights are always a winner with guests at night. Another unique touch is the side quarter panels being back illuminated with white LEDs when using the underwater lights.

Arch

The yachts built-in arch has an assortment of new equipment prominently displayed. A Garmin 24HD 4kW Radome is featured in the center of the arch. To the port of the radar is the Garmin GPS antenna, a Glomex omnidirectional digital TV antenna, and custom bow and aft aimed video cameras. To the starboard side is a polished stainless light masthead with Hella NaviLED PRO anchor, stern and running lights, dual trumpet marine air horn, swivel mounted 8’ Shakespeare VHF antenna, and a Standard Horizon PA horn. The underside of the arch has four Lumitec dual color (white/blue) dimmable “Mirage” fixtures with stainless rims. Hella NaviLED PRO navigation fixtures (red/green) are located on the port and starboard sides of the arch. Mounted in the arch sides are waterproof DC Gold N69C and N7Rmarine speakers. The arch has a custom fitted soft-lined canvas cover to keep weather off equipment during nonuse.

Cockpit

The two large aft sun lounges are a great place to unwind while anchored or underway. An additional set of filler cushions on board can used to make this area a single solid sun-pad if desired. Forward of the lounges is a generous outside seating and entertaining area. The cockpit centerpiece is a custom high gloss custom teak cocktail table mounted on a Crown LTD 6.5” diameter mirror polished stainless pedestal. The area includes a wetbar with molded sink, 6-illuminated bottle holders, built-in electric ice chest, U-Line ice maker, two Alpine MC20 audio system controls, two Rockford Fosgate M2 12” marine subwoofers, two LED illuminated cup holders, and dual color LED cockpit lighting. The cockpit features a Bimini top that can be used to provide shade. Stored under the front stateroom berth is a matching full canvas and issenglass enclosure. Mounted on the wetbar is an ACR GlobalFix Cat-1 EPRIB. Under the cockpit cushions is additional storage and on the starboard side are four Alpine PDX amplifiers. The entire cockpit features snap-in light gray marine carpet with navy blue ribbing. The cocktail table has a soft-lined canvas cover for during nonuse.

Helm

Located on the starboard side, the helm features two deep drop-down bolsters that face an impressive instrumentation & control array including touchscreen Garmin GPSMAP radar and GPS, custom “Sunseeker” logo Livorsi “Vantage View” gauge set with red LED backlighting, polished stainless throttle controls, drive trim switches, Livorsi depth sounder, Standard Horizon VHF radio w/AIS (linked to Garmin radar), Ritche 5” SuperSport SS-5000W compass, stainless 12V outlet, two Livorsi stainless illuminated cup holders, Alpine MC20 audio system control, and automated fire suppression system controls with manual override by SeaFire. The red LED backlit gauge set includes tachometer (3), oil pressure (3), water temp (3), battery volts (3), fuel level (1), water level (1), trim level (3) and an analog clock. Two handheld Kidde Mariner 10 fire extinguishers are located in easy reach. Also found in the helm area is a third Rockford Fosgate M2 12” marine subwoofer and a pair of DC Gold N69C marine speakers. The helm area is bordered by a polished stainless framed contoured tinted windscreen with a starboard stainless wiper. The helm panels are new highly finished teak for instrumentation and blue powder-coated laser etched switch panels. The helm is completed with an Italian Isotta Carlotta polished stainless and black leather steering wheel. A custom soft-sided canvas helm cover provides extra protection during nonuse.

Salon

A polished stainless framed sliding door provides access to the LED illuminated plush carpeted split level salon. Directly to port is the open galley to allow easy access from the helm or cabin. The galley includes a burl wood concealed 2-element electric stove, molded sink with hot and cold water, microwave oven, 12V/AC refrigerator, two drawers plus upper and lower storage cabinets. An expandable burl wood table with curved leather couch is on the starboard side for inside entertaining with a second couch on the opposite side. The salon is outlined with five upper storage cabinets with two portholes below. A set of Weems & Plath analog clock and combination “barometer/comfortmeter” hang conveniently onthe forward salon wall. The dining table and couch can be transformed into an additional berth if desired.
Adjacent to the salon dining area is the entertainment center featuring a Vizio 16” LCD HDTV, DVD player, Alpine Marine split-zone audio system with AM/FM, Sirius satellite radio, 10-changer CD and iPOD (iPhone) connectivity. A RAM3 remote VHF station is located here in addition to a custom video system that allows the HDTV to view on-air channels, DVD, arch mounted bow and stern cameras, GPS radar screen, or the yacht’s built-in security DVR (not installed). Also located in this area are the main power and breaker panel, and generator controls. To starboard is the enclosed full head with sink, electric flush toilet, GFI AC outlet, storage, dual color dimmable LED lighting, and built-in shower. The single cabin is forward with a private door, deck hatch, queen sized bed, marine clock, two closets, LED cabin lighting and dual reading lights.

Engines and Equipment

The yacht features triple Mercury 502MAG EFI gas engines. These Mercury factory remanufactured engines were prepared by Pfaff/Baca Engines in late 2012. The original Sunseeker factory exhaust design coupled with stock Mercury exhaust manifolds and risers were terribly inadequate causing excessive maintenance costs and repairs. This has all been supplanted with IMCO PowerFlo Marine exhaust manifolds and custom polished stainless water-jacketed risers and pipes by IMCO and coupled to external Gibson Performance Bullet mufflers. The bilge was entirely repainted during engine refit and new sound dampening installed. A 5kW Onan generator and battery charger is located in the port area of bilge while two Group 31 house batteries and three Group 27 engine batteries are in the starboard area. Four sealed Hella Marine DuraLED lamps illuminate the bilge. A single MarineAir system cools and heats the salon area. The newer electric water heater is also heated by the starboard engine when operating. The bilge contains two automatic pumps and one manually actuated bilge pump. An all new SeaFire automatic fire suppression system with manual override was installed to handle the engine area and the mid-bilge gas/water tank area separately. The three Mercury Bravo drives have been serviced and finished with anti-foul paint, new zincs, added drive showers, and added drive tie-bars. A custom fresh water flush system is built-in so each engine can be individually flushed with fresh water at the dock.

Hull and Deck Equipment

A polished stainless anchor and electric windlass adorn the bow with both deck and helm windlass controls. In December 2012, the yacht was hauled and equipment (windscreen, helm, rub rails and cockpit) removed. The yacht was completely refinished and painted from top to bottom including arch, deck, sides and bottom paint. A new tinted acrylic windscreen was installed, all new vinyl cockpit interior, stainless rub rails polished, the two deck hatches rebuilt and new acrylic, and new cockpit cover installed. All through hull fittings were removed, polished and rechromed. The transom contains two OceanLED 2010 blue underwater lights. The aft quarter panels are white LED illuminated. The deck has four stainless cleats on port and four on starboard. Additional equipment includes four embroidered covered fenders, heavy duty black dock lines, 3-foot stainless flag pole, six sets of yacht personalized embroidered towels, two yacht personalized soft-sided portable coolers with Sunseeker logo, and new Coast Guard safety equipment. The yacht was completed and launched in April 2013.
