Cabo Rico 42 Cutter - Last one built

New listing!   Lovely 2007 Cabo Rico 42 cutter.   A one-owner vessel maintained to the highest standards.   The was the last Cabo Rico 42 built by this great yard.   She was repowered in 2014 with a brand new 54 hp Yanmar diesel.  The Schaefer roller furling unit for the genoa was also replaced.  This custom-built Cabo Rico has many unique features such as fold-out, walk-in pantry,  Espar diesel central heat, a 12 volt 2 kw genset (just rebuilt), and a large fold-down dining table that leaves the salon open when not in use.   The loving care of these knowledgable owners is apparent once you board this Bristol vessel.  Her topsides, decks, rig, interior and mechanical systems all show excellent care and maintenance.  

This fine sailing yacht was designed to be free of docks and shorepower when desired.  She has 240 watt solar panels, a KISS  wind generator, and a 2 kw Kubota generator.   With the large inverter, and the wind and solar generators, you can be free of the new for shore power.    The new 525 amp AGM battery capacity allows for extended cruising and anchoring with all the comforts of home.  Being off the grid brings a sense of freedom that cruisers really desire.

Best of all, the Cabo Rico  42 cutter is known to be an excellent performer that an be handled by a couple.  The moderate beam and sailplan are trademarks of  Chuck Payne designs.   Passagemaking is  safe and fun as you click off the nautical miles each day. 

The interior of his yacht is wonderful for crusing or liveaboard. Space for stowage is  amazing. There are two large comfortable double cabins. The head large enough for living aboard with a separate shower stall.  The dinette can form large double. The boat can sleep seven.   The  galley has abundent countertop space and stowage. and yet is secure offshore.  The Cabo Rico offers a beautiful honey colored Costa Rican teak.
