American Tug 41 #3 - New arrival

Prime Time II is ready for your family's summer cruise!

Built for her current owner; the original Pacific Northwest dealer for American Tugs.  She is well equipped and has been very meticulously maintained by an experienced yachtsman.

"With 25 years of cruising the Inside Passage, my wife and I outfitted and equipped our 41 as a Dealer showboat tailored to enjoying and exploring the Inside Passage. From over sized anchors with extra rode,  supplemental freezer and refrigerator on the upper deck, Hydronic heat & water-maker. Our Tug made 6 trips to Northern BC and SE"

The American Tug 41 is a beautifully crafted raised pilothouse motor yacht.  Built in La Conner, Washington on a semi-displacement hull and designed to operate super efficiently at displacement hull-speeds.  When the skipper desires or the situation requires she can be powered up to run in semi-displacement trim allowing her to safely pass the narrows, rapids or areas of adverse current found all along the Inside Passage.  American Tugs are ideally suited for northwest 4-season cruising.

Powered by the Cummins QSC-540 common rail engine with complete maintenance records.  Equipped with bow and stern thrusters, Simrad 17-inch color displays & multi-function repeaters, Furuno NavNet color radar, chart plotter and high-power fish finder, built in PC with Coastal Explorer software, Tanner mast, factory custom cabinetry, abundant engine spares, Village Marine 600-gpd watermaker, Nova Kool refrigerator, Force Ten stove,  Hydronic heat system, Stidd helm chair, 11.5-foot AB inflatable with console and Yamaha 25 engine, etc.. The complete list is impressive.

Equipped to fish and proven lucky; Prime Time II is easy to fish with twin Scotty powered downriggers and  a stainless electric shrimp/crab pot puller.  There is a trolling valve on the marine gear, two bridge-deck mounted deep freezers, Tanner stainless rocket launchers, custom stainless cleaning station, Tanner downrigger mounts, Simrad multi repeater in aft cockpit, custom rod security locker, and a gorgeous Magma stainless barbecue center.  Great arrangement!

Prime Time II is ready for your next Expedition; to the Broughton's, Alaska or Mexico!

Now moored on Trawler Row in La Conner Marina, just below the American Tug factory.

American Tugs are known for their very high quality build.  This quality can be seen in their detailed decks, lustrous gelcoat, full polish 316 stainless steel and the fine joinery and woodwork found in the interiors.  Prime Time II has an interior made from Teak wood. The neutral colors of the new carpet and UltraLeather are warm and inviting. These boats feel right.

The salon features large windows which flood the interior with light. You can see forward past the galley to the raised pilothouse, it is this open feel that makes the interior great for entertaining. An L-shape settee is on starboard, with storage behind the cushions. On the port side is a raised eating bar with adjustable height barstools, they can be lowered and used at the custom inlayed Scott Boyle drop leaf table.
The galley is forward and on the port side. Entertainment center with a 23" satellite enabled LCD television is in the port aft corner above a custom factory corner cabinet.

Up a few steps to the raised pilothouse, American Tug makes full use of the large "stack", the defining feature of a tug boat and provides ample headroom above these stairs. A beautiful custom teak wood insert inlaid with compass rose forms the ceiling inside this stack. The pilothouse is large, open and provides full 360-degree sightlines. The console is full size and houses two Simrad 17-inch color displays. There are sliding doors on both the port & starboard sides. The port side of the pilohouse has additional seating for 3. On starboard is a desk and computer monitor.  A stidd helm chair is the focal point of the pilothouse.

Forward is the guest stateroom with a queen pullman berth and an additional upper bunk which is perfect for the extra guest, child or makes great storage. The guest stateroom has a private head with full shower.

The master stateroom is down a few steps and features a walk-around queen berth, a very large private head & shower and nine full suspension drawers plus a cedar-lined hanging locker. This is a very spacious full-beam master suite with flow thru ventilation.

All the spaces are heated with a Webasto hydronic diesel furnace, with separate zones and thermostats for each of the four living areas.  There are two additional 110-volt heaters all independently controlled for keeping her warm on the dock or in the off-season.

The joinerwork is a gorgeous teak wood. Carpet was replaced in the spring of 2013 with a warm-toned commercial Shaw.  The salon upholstery is timeless "Doe" and is beautiful.
