Nautor 59

Rattler is your true world cruiser. The boat has had a two extensive refits and new teak decks in 2012. She is a classic Swan with the strength to go anywhere in the world. Highly sought after shallow draft, centerboard version.

The Swan 59 is possibly Nautor Swan’s greatest yacht.  “Rattler” is one of the best Swan 59’s ever built.  She has had many upgrades since she was built; the last one was over the period of 2010 to 2012. The interior has been completely revarnished and the head liners were replaced in 2010.  The mattresses and cushion covers where replaced in 2010.  The below deck lighting was replaced with LED in 2012.

Starting aft, the owner’s cabin has a centerline double bunk with ensuite head and stall shower. There is an attached head with a stall shower. 

The items in the owner’s stateroom include the following: 

• 2 DC fans
• 2 reading lights
• Air conditioning control at bunk
• Large mirror
• Techma fresh water toilet

Just forward of the owner’s stateroom is a “skipper’s cabin” with an upper and lower bunk.  These are the best sea berths on the boat.  There is a door through the owner’s shower that allows access to the head for this cabin.

Moving forward, the navigation station is to starboard and there is access to the engine room through a door on centerline.  Opposite the Navigation table is the main AC and SC electrical panel.

Moving into the main salon, there is a large settee with seating for eight to starboard and a small settee to port.  The salon has great stowage space with bookshelves to starboard and the entertainment area to port.  There is an ice maker and a built-in bar under the Corian counter top on the port side.  The galley is aft of the salon on the port side.  There is a large above counter refrigerator and two in-the counter freezers.  The stove is out board with a microwave above it and a dishwasher forward.  The other equipment in the galley and salon include the following: 

• 4 burner SS Alpes Inox Stove with oven
• Built in trash bin with top opening hatch in the Corian
• Nautor made exhaust fan
• All fresh water piping and pumps replaced in 2012.
• Pressure water system (new pump in 2012)  with pull-out nozzle in galley sink
• Manual sea water tap
• Manual fresh water tap
• Dual SS sinks on center line
• Dishwasher new 2010
• Microwave new 2010

The galley has a large front-loading refrigerator and a top-loading freezer. The gimbaled four-burner stove has safety rails and an extractor fan.  The icemaker is just forward of the galley on the port side.  There are two deep stainless sinks on centerline with fresh and salt water. Above the stove on the port side there is a microwave and a dishwasher on the forward bulkhead.

Moving forward, the VIP cabin is to starboard with an ensuite head.  There is a large lower berth that pulls out with a filler cushion.  The upper berth is a Pullman upper berth.  The other items in this stateroom are as follows:

• Large hanging closets
• Full length mirror
• Drawers and lockers

The third stateroom is to port and has the same bunk layout as the starboard stateroom.  This stateroom shares the head with the starboard stateroom via a door in the front of the cabin. The cabin includes the following:

• 1 DC fan
• Lee clothes
• Hanging locker
• Full length mirror
• Drawers and lockers

The forepeak can be used as a fourth guest cabin, a skipper’s cabin or a work stowage area.  There are two bunks to starboard.  There are lockers to port with a work bench.  The spare anchor is stored in this area and the side boarding ladder is stowed on aft bulkhead.
