Prouts are serious blue water catamaran cruisers. Seven hundred Snowgoose’s were built and 100+ have circumnavigated. The boat was specifically designed for shorthanded sailing and a few special features emphasis this such as the fact that all sail controls lead into the cockpit so one does not need to leave the safety of the cockpit to sail the boat. Any couple would find the boat very easy to manage. She is also very adaptable and the current owner has done a number of improvements to the boat and she is now very suitable for hotter climates. One of the advantages of this model is the single Yanmar saildrive diesel that is fully retractable from the water so the boats draft is as low at 2ft, so she can get in nice and close to the beach safely. Zenity was built by Prout UK in 1993 to Lloyds ISO 9002 standards and launched in Hong Kong in October 1993. Internal layout is the Family Version with the main berth on the center line fwd and two doubles aft. The galley is huge and located in the port hull and single head and shower are fwd in the strd hull. The boat has gone through substantial upgrades by the current owner during 2011/2012 and has to be seen to be appreciated, she really is something special. We highly recommend this cruising cat and encourage all inspections.
