CONSTRUCTION

HULL CONSTRUCTION       Hull is moulded in GRP from female moulds built by Oyster in their own facility. All laminating is carried out by hand to high standard. Hull and deck mouldings are produced using Lloyds approved design specification. The stern design incorporates a bathing platform trimmed with teak slats and stainless steel steps for access to the stern deck. Anchor Locker bulkhead made to be watertight.

HULL FINISH  Hull colour white with cove line and double boot top lines in Dark Blue.

DECK CONSTRUCTION   GRP with balsa core for strength and insulation.

DECK FINISH  Teak laid decks

KEEL   High Performance Lead Bulb keel

RUDDER   Full length skeg hung rudder

EURCD     Built to comply with the requirements for Category A – Ocean

 

DECK LAYOUT AND EQUIPMENT 

ANCHOR  22kg (45lb) CQRanchor stows on the stemhead and is supplied with 60metres of 10mm short link, calibrated galvanized chain to match the windlass, fastened at its “bitter end” to a through-bolted padeye with substantial lanyard.

WINDLASS  Lewmar electric anchor windlass controlled by adjacent deck-mounted foot switches.

HATCHES/ WINDOWS AND PORTS 

6 x Alloy-framed, silver-anodised Lewmar deck hatches

Aft hatch has an SL “Aeolian” extractor ventilator fitted

DECK PLUMBING   Hot and cold freshwater deck shower in transom locker

COCKPIT  Varnished teak cockpit table with folding leaves. Instrument cluster at helm for autopilot, bow thruster control and wind instrument. D Rings for harness lines. Engine instrumentation starboard forward under dodger. Hand bilge pump in sole. Teak seats and sole. Smoked Lexan hatchboards; storage racks behind companionway steps. Large locker lid with stainless hasp for padlock; access to Utility Cabin/Saillocker.

STEERING   Whitlock cable system, installed with a remote “Premiere” pedestal, incorporating a 910mm diameter destroyer type stainless steel wheel and friction brake. The steering wheelhas a leather cover and folds when not in use. Single lever engine control.

Six berths in three cabins

Interior joinery finished in Teak with Oyster ‘Millenium’ styling. Designed to be modern and co-ordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grabrails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between panels and Oyster custom knobs for lockers and drawers.

DOUBLE CABIN  In forepeak, with V-berth, provided with an infill piece and cushion, under-berth stowage and a hanging locker. Fiddled shelves port and starboard above berths

TWIN CABIN   To port, with upper and lower berths, clothes lockers and a hanging locker.

FORWARD HEAD  Both forward cabins share a heads compartment to starboard incorporating a Jabsco large bowl manual WC, washbasin, mirror, stowage lockers and shower. Hans Grohe mixer taps and shower fittings.

SALOON  To port, L-shaped settee area with fold-over teak table, allowing both sides of saloon to be used for seating whilst dining. Stowage for bottles and a single drawer are incorporated into the pedestal. To starboard is a two-seater settee. Bookshelf in port hullport recess. Saloon hullport liners in slat effect timber. Glass and bottle stowage locker.

GALLEY   “Alley Galley” provides walkthrough to aft cabin. Countertop wraps around and under Companionway. Plenty of light and natural ventilation.

 

SINKS   Twin stainless steel sinks inboard.          

TAP       Hans Grohe tap with pull out spout.

COOKER  Gimballed Force 10 stainless steel 4-burner cooker with grill and oven outboard with two shelves behind and above.

REFRIGERATOR  Stainless opening door.

WASHER    In Utility Cabin. 3kg runs off generator.

FRESH WATER   Manual fresh water hand pump at galley basin.

 

NAVIGATION AREA   Forward facing, with stowage for Admiralty sized half folded charts. Beneath are two drawers for spares and tools etc.

WORKSHOP/STOWAGE LOCKER  Doubles as sail locker with access from salon and cockpit. Washing machine is housed in this area. Large door to engine room. Makes great wetlocker as well.

OWNER’S AFT CABIN  The aft cabin features a double berth offset from centre, a curved settee to port, a hanging locker, with drawers and shelves. Drawers beneath berth. Seat and berth headboard in Alcantara – colour: ‘Amber Glow’. Bookshelves port and starboard. Reading lights x2 above head of berth with glass shades.

EN-SUITE HEAD  With Jabsco large bowl manual WC, washbasin, mirror, stowage lockers and shower. Hans Grohe mixer taps and shower fittings.

ENGINE/SAILDRIVE         Volvo MD22, 4-cylinder Diesel (59hp). Saildrive replaced and new seals installed October, 2013. All rubber on engine replaced. Valves and timing belt also done.
