Kirie Feeling 416 Sloop

Starfinder was built in Rochelle, France by Kirie Yachts; Kirie has built high end sailboats for over a century, and, while they're well known in Europe for their clean, modern hull lines and warm, luxurious interiors, they're not well known here. Which is a shame, because they combine great sailing performance with a high standard of excellence in both design and construction--even a quick inspection shows them to be a cut above the common production boats with which we're all familiar.

The Kirie 416 in particular offers spacious accommodations (with an almost panoramic cabintop skylight and a pilot berth) that are ideal for either extended offshore cruising or comfortable living dockside; she's also a pleasure to sail short or single handed and handles very well in typical San Francisco conditions. It's a great design, and Starfinder is a fine example.

Home ported in Maine until 2010  and always meticulously maintained, she shows bristol today. Practically new Kevlar sails (installed late 2011 and only used a handful of times), 50 hp Yanmar diesel, interior shows practically as new. Note this is the deep draft fixed fin keel version (some had centerboards), and she doesn't have teak decks.

Also note she's lying in a potentially transferable Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip; there's a long wait to get in the marina here so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage.

Vessel's very competitively priced by a realistic owner and offers are encouraged.

Modified V-berth forward with private head. Aft to salon with large C-shaped settee and pilot berth starboard, centerline dropleaf table and straight settee port.

Continuing aft port side, next is large nav table followed by second head and second stateroom. Centerline companionway, U-shaped galley starboard with third stateroom far aft.

Interior is bright and airy with light elm interior and panoramic cabin top skylight.
