Cape Dory 33 Cutter

Albatross is a rare cutter rigged model of the Cape Dory 33, with the double headsail rigging made as a factory option.  She is in beautiful condition, having been carefully maintained by her owners of over 10 years.

This vessel has received many upgrades, including new dodger in 2014, Propane stove system in 2008, Ultra-suede interior cushions in 2003, and many more.  Albatross is equipped with GPS / RADAR, anchor windlass, and other equipment that enhance cruising comfort.

New to the market and ready for the season ahead.

Cape Dory woodworkers have crafted teak and select hardwoods to create a warm, spacious interior, tastefully accented with a teak and holy sole.  All interior cushions were replaced in 2003 with teal color Ultra-suede fabric.  The finish on all cabinetry is varnished.

All hatches, ports and companionway have screens.

A comfortable living area in the main cabin includes settee berths port and starboard with storage above.   The port settee extends inboard to form a double berth.  A bulkhead mounted dining table is to port.  There is an overhead Bomar hatch and 6 opening Spartan ports for excellent ventilation.

Aft of the main cabin is a U shaped Galley to port.  The stove has been upgraded to a 3 burner propane unit with an oven.  A large ice box is aft in the galley, and twin sinks are forward, served by hot and cold pressure water.  Ample lockers outboard of the counters allow for great storage.

To starboard is a navigation table, with space for mounting electronics and storing navigation books, tools and charts.  Aft of the nav station is a spacious quarter berth.

Forward of the main cabin is the head area to port, and hanging lockers to starboard.  The enclosed head area features ample cabinets for toiletries and towels, a hamper, shower with hot and cold pressure water, and a wash basin. The marine toilet is connected to a 35 gal. holding tank.

By abandoning the traditional V-berth concept, Cape Dory designers have been able to create a spacious forward stateroom with a large portside berth which converts to a double, a reading settee, bureau, hanging locker, and overhead shelves.  2 Spartan opening bronze ports and an overhead Bomar hatch provide excellent ventilation.
