Unique, strong and seaworthy schooner, built in 1963, rebuilt 1993 into a sailing vessel.
Perfect for save and comfortable blue water cruising; 10 cabins for 23 guests, GM V8 engine ca. 250 HP, 2 generators 15 and 6 kVA, strong bowthruster. Modern interior of mahogany and cape marine board. Delivery date by mutual agreement; charter contracts need to be observed. Vessel is maintained to a very high standard.

This sailing vessel AMAZONE is a 42 metre 138 (ft) large steel ship which was built by Laan & Kooy on 1963.

Olivier van Meer was the architect on conversion from fishing vessel to the 42m (incl. bowsprit) schooner AMAZONE in 1992. Based on the hull of a fishing cutter, this vessel undergone a radical conversion that has given it a special character among the sailing charter boats available in the Netherlands. Her lovely sheer, balanced clipper bow, beautifully shaped deck saloon, well raked masts, optimal sailing performance and excellent finishing typify the work of the OVM office.

Sleeping 23 passengers and 2 qualified crew, sailing yacht AMAZONE used to be North Sea fishing cutter "Meyert Menno" until 1993. She could be described as a classic twin masted schooner.
