This boat has the VERY RARE single diesel powered option that was specifically custom made for the owner for his intentions of fishing the West Coast. 99% of these boats are twin powered and came in both the gas and diesel versions, but this one has a very efficient single diesel option.

Instead of the typical twin engine configuration which most of these boats came with (either with traditional shafts or the I/O versions) this boat has the JPS (Jackshaft Power System) giving this Albemarle a number of unique advantages.

The single engine option not only reduces overall weight (both a benefit for towing and fuel consumption) but compromises very little with regards to speed and performance. In addition, having only one engine makes working on the engine very accessible (not true of the twin engine set-up) and gives plenty of extra room in the engine compartment for storage purposes.

"Afishonado" has proven offshore ability and characteristics, yet still maintains a balance of sleek elegance and rugged fortitude.   With its expansive 60 sq. feet of cockpit space, a 23 gallon live well, outriggers, 21 rocket launchers, built-in tackle box, and a collapsible tower, yes, a tower...  she is a fishing machine, and one of only a handful of sub-30' boats that can be equipped with a full tower like this, putting her in a class all her own..

At a hair over 29 feet, don't let her medium size fool you... this is a tank of a boat with a nine and a half foot beam and a rock solid hull... and at 9500 pounds, she can take anything mother nature throws at her.  This beauty is built to handle the roughest seas in the US and her decks stay dry even in the most turbulent conditions. "Afishonado" was custom built for the West Coast..  it is owned by the original owner, a meticulous man, who has spared no expense in outfitting her, including nearly $50k in electronics alone!  In addition, with all the extras and upgrades that he had on tap, it was deemed that the factory wiring just would not cut it, so Albemarle stepped up and rewired the entire boat with heavier marine grade wiring.  Now that's a company that stands behind their product and cares for their clientele and their needs. 

With the rare single engine option, giving you nearly 500 miles of cruising range, the boat is not only lighter for transporting, but easier to maintain, yet sacrifices nothing when it comes to speed and performance...  The powerful yet efficient single 310 hp Volvo Diesel with duo-prop jackshaft cruises her at a comfortable 30 knots, and pushes her to nearly 40 knots wide open!

This boat has never been kept in water, fresh or salt... it has only spent a few days at a time in the water (when out fishing, or at Catalina), and has immediately been flushed, cleaned and polished upon its return to land, where it is stored covered on its custom-made aluminum triple axle trailer, and kept in immaculate condition at all times.
